IT’S JAPANESE MAHVEL BAYBEE! Tatsunoku vs. Capcom Confirmed for US release.
May 20th
Yes, I’m a bit slow on this.
By now, if you’ve been following this, you probably know the runaround. Sometime late last week, a scan of the latest issue of Nintendo Power showed an article showing Tatsunoku vs. Capcom, the latest in the “vs. Capcom” series that was made famous by Marvel vs. Capcom. The article specifically hinted that the game was coming to North America, which is something that a lot of people were expecting to never happen due to the nature of the characters on the Tatsunoku side.
Well, CAPCOM thought differently on that, and Capcom Unity’s Twitter account confirmed that Tatsu vs. Capcom was one of two or three “mystery games” that they were showing at E3 next month. That being said, not only is CAPCOM surprising us with this Wii game that we never expected to come outside of Japan, but they also have two more that they’re going to spring upon us.
But this is why we all love CAPCOM. They’re one of the few developers that actually listen to their fans.
In the meantime, you can find some TvC gameplay footage after the jump.
Eureka! Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations announced for US (kinda) and EU
Apr 28th
It was announced today that, expectedly, Gyakuten Kenji will see an American and European release before the end of the year. All I really wanted to post was the trailer, so for your viewing goodness:
Enjoy!
(I will say, though, that “Eureka!” sounds pretty bad.
)
Quick update: It should be noted that only the European release was officially announced, but by all means I would be surprised (and outright pissed off) if this didn’t include a US release. Such a release can be expected anywhere between a couple of months before to a couple of months after the European release.
You can also find actual ENGLISH screenshots on Capcom Unity.
Gyakuten Kenji/Ace Attorney Investigations
Mar 28th
As much as we would be sure of ourselves that if Ace Attorney spinoff game Gyakuten Kenji would be called “Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor” to keep up with the naming convention, it was not to be. It was recently pointed out that CAPCOM registered a trademark for the name Ace Attorney Investigations, a name that we can only think to be that of the English version of the game. Oh well, at least we can expect the game to be released sometime in the future.
I can tell you right now that Gyakuten Kenji is turning into quite the game. Having had the chance to play a flash version of the Japanese website made available on Capcom Japan’s website, along with the help of a translation guide on Court Records, it seems like it’s going to be a nice break from the other games in the series thus far.
